People, cafes, vendors, street merchants, buskers, historic buildings, art installations and much more. The power of observation underpins the art of great street photography. Learning to "see" interesting detail is a practised skill and we introduce you to easy methods that will open your photographer's eye and expose you to a world that is alive with detail. The most rewarding part of the class is learning how to approach interesting people and have them willingly pose for you.

We will also go over settings, focusing techniques and lens choices common to street photography to help us capture those random chance encounters.

REVIEWS
It was a good introduction to basic watercolor painting concepts. It was close to what I expected. The instructor was very well prepared and informative. The supporting materials were pretty good. I saw something else she had prepared by her own hand and I thought it was very good. I told her this would have been good to share also. Rebecca is very pleasant to learn from. She is open and curious enough to be engaging in a class discussion. More experience will lead to even better classes.

I think raccoons are very interesting animals and have something of a reputation as being rascals. The mask around their eyes doesn't detract from this thinking about them, I think. Raccoons cross our backyard frequently and I enjoy viewing them so when I saw the photos taken by Laura Jackson on the Reference photos for artists Facebook page, I decided to use the photo as a reference for the Raccoons watercolor painting. I enjoyed creating the expression on their faces as if to say, "Maybe I'm d

Title or Location: Mr Fox
For this 8x10 watercolor painting I used salt on wet paint in the background to give an impression of foliage, and a variety of strong brush strokes in green and blue in the foreground to give the impression of the Fox semi-hidden in grasses. My hope was to convey some of the impish beauty of this elusive woodland creature.

This painting was done en plein air at the Memphis Botanic Garden. I am preparing for an art based tour of Provence during which I hope to complete an entire watercolor sketchbook. The painting was done in an A5 cold press Etchr sketchbook. I look forward to those many hours during which nothing exists but the paint and the view.
